Two Lifelong Friends, One Shared Purpose

Some partnerships take years to build, but ours has been a lifetime in the making. We grew up in the same small town in the US, raised by fathers who were best friends, which means our bond runs deeper than just business—we are family.

We are the ultimate yin and yang.

Ashley is our Amsterdam-based, consummate world traveler. High-energy, vibrant, and deeply connected, she is enthusiastically raising her daughter amidst the beautiful hustle, bustle, and creative rhythm of the big city.

​

Elisabeth is naturally drawn to the softer, more intentional rhythms of life. Rooted in the quiet history of the Netherlands, she is passionate about clean living, organic food, and the mindful, holistic approach of a Waldorf education for her children, embracing a slower, deeply nurturing pace.

​

Though our daily lives look beautifully different, we are bound by a singular, fierce purpose: helping people access the incredible quality of life that the Netherlands has to offer. When Elisabeth made the leap to move here with her family, Ashley was right at the finish line, welcoming them with open arms and turning a foreign country into an immediate home.

It is that exact combination—our shared history, paired with our completely different personal styles and relocation experiences—that makes us an unstoppable team. Whether you are looking for the high-octane energy of the city or a mindful, grounded transition into Dutch community life, we have walked both paths, and we are ready to guide you home.

It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you and act as your full-service concierge on your expat journey to the Netherlands.

​

My path to international living began back in 2011. Feeling completely exhausted by the corporate world in New York City, I decided to take a massive leap of faith: I bought a one-way ticket to Taiwan to teach English. That two-year adventure completely changed my trajectory and remains one of the best decisions I have ever made.

​

From that moment on, I knew the traditional path back in the US just didn’t fit me anymore. In the years since, I have built lives in France, Scotland, and ultimately, the Netherlands. Along the way, I have dealt with every layer of the relocation puzzle—navigating complicated visa situations, solving logistical headaches in languages I didn’t yet understand, and learning how to build warm, supportive communities from scratch.

In fact, I love the Netherlands so much that I moved here on my own twice.

The first time I arrived, I knew exactly one person. I had zero help navigating the visa process, finding an apartment, or even figuring out the smaller, daily mysteries—like how to scan a receipt to exit the grocery store, where to source a reliable bike, or how the neighborhood trash schedules worked. When you are doing it completely alone, those tiny, piled-up details can feel incredibly scary and exhausting.

But I made it, I built a beautiful life here, and now I want to use that hard-won expertise to clear the path for you. My goal is to smooth out those bumpy roads before you even encounter them, ensuring your move abroad is seamless, comfortable, and celebrated from day one.

Meet Elisabeth

My name is Elisabeth, and I am based in the beautiful, historic city of Utrecht. Having spent time living abroad during my university years, I always knew deep down that I wanted to return to Europe in my adult life. Now, over twenty years later and with my family in tow, I am finally realizing that lifelong dream.

Taking this leap hasn't been without its challenges, and there have been plenty of complex logistical moments along the way. But whenever the transition felt overwhelming, I kept our family’s "why" at the absolute center of the journey.

​

We moved here so my children could grow up with a safer, more independent lifestyle. We moved so they could attend Waldorf schools without the prohibitive price tag that comes with it in America. I wanted a healthier work-life balance, a quieter, warmer, more peaceful daily existence, and the rich cultures of Europe right at our doorstep.

​

Moving across the world is an extraordinary experience, but it is one that people who haven't done it can't quite relate to. It can feel deeply lonely at times when you are stepping into the unknown without a safety net.

​

That is exactly why I joined forces with Ashley. As a specialized strategic consultant for her agency, I bring the grounded, family-focused lens to our clients' transitions. We have been exactly where you are standing right now. We have navigated the stressful hurdles and celebrated the joyful milestones.
